There's drugs here, so there's that warning.

Maybe he shouldn't mix drugs and alcohol. Maybe he also shouldn't have taken up with a bunch of murderers and the like when he was a kid. Maybe it was too late to change.

He rolled his eyes at that, chiding his own thoughts for being overly melodramatic. He could change at any time he wanted to.

He just didn't want to.

Who'd want to be good when sex, drugs, and illegal magic felt so nice anyway?

He gritted his teeth as he pushed the needle into his arm, wincing as he felt it go deeper than normal before emptying the contents, pulling and discarding the needle as he sprawled out on the couch, staring up at the ceiling, waiting for the effects to kick in. He was already buzzed from the liquor he drank earlier, pleasantly buzzed.

He could feel someone watching him just as he felt the first effects of the drug hit him.

He slowly pulled himself up on the couch, looking around. Paranoia was not part of the effects, and the feeling of warmth and light dancing across his skin coupled with the feeling of being watched was fucking with his perception of reality.

He gave a muffled shout as he saw who was watching him from behind his own desk, sliding down on the couch, trying to to hide the best he could while drugged out of his mind.

Rob was sitting at the desk, feet up on the desk, one of the many bottles of Deadbones' whiskey in his hands, opening the bottle.

“I was wondering when you'd notice. Christ you're an idiot. Should be more cautious about doing that,” Rob said, voice more amused than chiding.

Deadbones swallowed nervously, trying to focus on Rob, and not the aura of skittering spiders and snakes that seemed to surround him, the faint red tinge that permeated the room making him feel like he was drowning in blood. “Doing...what?” he said, as innocently as possible, knowing he had failed when Rob laughed.

“I've been here the entire time, you monkey,” Rob said, leaning back in the chair as he took a swig of the whiskey straight from the bottle. The spiders and snakes surrounding Rob seemed to freeze for a moment before bouncing in a giggly fashion, seeming to be slightly drunk. “I've never seen someone on...whatever the kids are calling that drug these days, I was curious and wanted to watch. Do you have a...problem with that?” Rob said, grinning at Deadbones.

Deadbones sunk even deeper into the couch as all the vermin stared at him, unblinking. “No sir,” he whispered, eyes wide. He needed to install a better security system, oh god he needed to install a better system yesterday.

Rob waved his free hand at him, sending spiders flying in his direction before they disappeared in pops of black smoke. “Don't be silly, no security in the world will keep me away from what I want.”

Deadbones nodded, worried to think of anything else in case Rob heard more.

The temperature in the room seemed to crawl several degrees upwards as he felt Rob get out of the chair, sending sparks of electricity across his skin.

He closed his eyes as Rob leaned over him, trying to not feel the sparks and cracks of liquid magic skitter across his skin as he felt Rob run a hand along the side of his face and down one arm. He could feel Rob smirking at him, could feel how Rob's eyes were half lidded, amused at him.

“I've been told it's a good drug to try before doing anything physical. Ever done anything like that?” Rob said, voice deep and dark, filled with the same spiders than Deadbones could feel crawling over him as Rob continued to caress him.

“Nope,” Deadbones managed to whisper, willing the couch to swallow him whole as Rob laughed again. His laughter felt like electricity and fire against his skin, making him feel like he might be destroyed from being in the same room as Rob.

Silence took over the room, only the heat radiating from Rob reminding Deadbones that Rob was still there before Rob suddenly stood up, stretching loudly.

“Seems I need to go take care of some things. Have a fun trip, Shane. Maybe if you're still here when I get back we can test that theory out more,” Rob said, chuckling.

Deadbones kept his eyes closed even as he heard the door open and close, locking behind him. He kept them closed even as he felt the temperature in the room seemed to cool down, spiders and snakes gone, only the faint sound of hissing slinking in underneath the normal sounds of the room, skittering around the edges of his subconscious. He only opened them when he felt faint sparkles of lightning race across his skin before sputtering out.

Looking around the room he relaxed, seeing no one in the room. His relaxation turned to a frown as he saw a full needle on the table next to him, face going crimson as he saw the piece of paper with a heart and Rob's shitty signature on it.

He knew if he took another dose, he'd still almost certainly be high when Rob got back. And that Rob would take advantage of him if he was.

Was it really being taken advantage of if he knew what would happen before he did it? He thought, fingers already reaching towards the needle. He could almost hear Rob laughing at him already.
